First Blog! 1.1

(Here's an old drawing I made perfectly representing my feelings about this year)

It’s approximately some time in the morning as I’m writing this and I’m back in AEP! Seems like this year would be (rather surprisingly) easier since Ms.Disa mentioned that we’ll be learning grammar.

And no, it’s not like I’m good at grammar. If anything, I would say I’m fluent in English but grammar has always been a struggle for me. Though arguably, it wouldn’t be as confusing as last year, in my opinion at least.

In the first week, we finished the introductory To Do List and getting ourselves accustomed with all the games and websites we will be using to learn. I was especially interested in how we used Miro, a whiteboard web.

Ms.Disa properly started our learning progress by starting with a quiz to test our skills. I say grammar is better than last year, but my score was rather terrible by my standards (It doesn’t help that I didn’t get much sleep the night before).

By the next week, we did a little oral activity by reading the news. It didn’t leave that much of an impression on me, besides the fact that Ms.Disa almost got us late for our next class.

And today, Wednesday of the second week, we did a pop quiz and a little seatwork to further progress. I regrettably didn’t really pay attention to the material Ms.Disa posted, but I think I did pretty well…? (I’m not a “read books/watch videos and memorize information” type of person… sorry)

Learning this will definitely help me with… a lot of things. Such as (and not limited to) my personal hobbies, other school works, and even activities I don’t consider school or hobby-related. I do think it’ll be simply useful to be able to learn more grammar (especially with how clumsy I am with it).

Other than that, I do think it’s been a smooth week. A refreshing start towards the new academic year, you can say.

I plan to be a little more diligent and attentive next time too. School helps distract me from the other things in my life. It’s not a safe place or haven or anything of the type, but at least it doesn’t make me feel completely terrible.

This concludes my first blog and the new beginning of this year. Wish me luck!
