Looking back to our very first class from this term, I had just realised how much our class has grown. We now have a full house and it hasn’t been more lively since. There’s more conversations being passed around and it’s even more exciting to do starter games with them(even though we still struggle with wordle games). I look forward to playing scrabble during a full house as we used to only play it with 4-5 people but now that there are 6-9 people, i’m thrilled to be against newer competition.
Compared to the days before the midterms of term 2, I think that I am doing and feeling way better. Though I still might be lacking and procrastinating, I am working towards creating a planned schedule to follow in order to keep up. In AEP lessons, we have been analysing and writing essays on maps which I believe is way better than writing essays on graphs as it is simpler to analyse visually. Despite this, I think that I need to improve on linking my paragraphs and properly writing my introductions as I keep on forgetting to add on a small summary on the comparisons between two maps.
I can clearly see the improvement in my vocabulary when comparing it with my knowledge back in the first term. I think that the use of Miro and other platforms has really helped me in learning new vocabulary the fun way. When you enjoy a process of learning something new, you tend to easily remember them as has now become part of a good memory. Using these vocabularies in our IELTS essays has also been effective to improve my writing.
Inspired by Ms Disa’s stories on running and working out or eating healthy, I decided to try out for the varsity teams as she makes me realise how much I’m not taking care of myself enough in terms of working out. I think that this is great as working out can definitely improve my productivity. There are so many other things I would love to do in AEP like having another origami lesson(I still think I should’ve won the jumping frog race ahahah) and more. Maybe for our next project we could do another origami lesson too. I look forward to that and to writing another blog on an update on what we have done and how I felt this term.
OK the origami wins 😜🤣
