First blog of 2023! Happy New Year everyone! After reflecting on some of my exit tickets for AEP in our padlet site, I noticed that many of the lessons we had this term consisted of essay-writing and reviewing. Honestly, thinking about the first day of my AEP class and now, I think I’ve improved a lot on my vocabulary and knowledge of IELTS essays!
Other than that, the class is definitely bigger than when I first arrived. We have one new student, and two who were previously online joining face-to-face! I’m glad they’re able to join us on campus this term. Speaking of new arrivals, we also have a new plant with us now — Alice! Alice’s leaves are different to Alan’s. I’m not sure about their exact species but they are definitely unique in their own ways. Unfortunately, Alan isn’t with us anymore (no, he’s not dead!). He were getting a lot bigger so the teacher had to take him back home with her. We’ll surely miss him. :(
Anyway, I love how every one of our AEP classes start with a ‘dle’ game! At first, I thought it was something that was going to happen temporarily, but as time passed on, each one of our lessons always started with a game like wordle, quordle, antiwordle, and a lot more. It’s probably one of the best warm-ups a teacher could choose because it really gets my brain going.
Other than that, I’m really looking forward to this year’s AEP classes! Albeit I have the slightest possibility of leaving the Philippines this year, it won’t distract me from the fact that AEP is still one of the most relaxing and chillest class I could have. Thank you miss for always knowing how to engage everyone! :DD
Thanks for the feedback...I do my best...I must have been rubbish 20 years ago😂😂😂It's important to have a simple but challenging warm up. I learnt that in the dojo...having to engage your brain too early can be very stressful💓
